Hilton Bali Resort – Family paradise in Nusa Dua
If you are after a resort where the kids’ are happy and entertained, where you can eat delicious healthy food and spend your days lazing by the pool while listening to the ocean – then look no further. The Hilton Bali has all of the above and more!
Located in Nusa Dua, the luxury hotel is perched on a 40 metre cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. The hotel has over 400 guests rooms including family rooms, suites and villas, and a whole range of facilities and activities to keep the whole family entertained!
Room
We stayed in interconnecting King Cliff Tower Ocean View rooms, which were so beautifully decorated throughout. At over 50sqm they are very generous sized rooms, and perfect for larger families like ours. The balcony has views out over both the pool and the ocean, the perfect spot to watch the sunrise in the mornings. For families who prefer to be in the one room, there are Family Room’s which have a king bed and a queen sofabed for the kids’.
Kids’ Facilities
The biggest hit for us all at the Hilton Bali was the fast 30 metre waterslide! Jay wasn’t quite brave enough for this slide, but the rest of us had many hours of fun up and down this slide. It is located around one of the pool bars as well, making it the perfect spot to sit and have a cocktail while watching the kids’ slide to their heart’s content.
For the smaller children, there is another little slide in the kids’ pool – this one Jay loved and spent plenty of time playing on.
There are basketball hoops and a volleyball net in the main pool which we all loved, and they do have volleyball competitions etc at certain times of the day. Just keep an eye on the daily schedule to find out what is on and when.
The resort has a huge sea-facing lagoon style pool which winds it’s way under bridges and through the beautiful gardens. Their is also a beautiful hot jacuzzi overlooking the ocean, right near the kids’ pool.
Kids’ Club
The Jungle Club is located on the ground floor, right near the entry to the pool area and is very impressive! Split over two levels with a treehouse theme, the boys really enjoyed playing here when they needed a break from the pool. The downstair’s area has an indoor play centre style equipment, as well as games and toys. Upstairs has a pool table, foosball table, and Playstations / TV’s for the older kids to chill out with some computer games. The boy’s favourite part however was the outside area where they could climb on the playground, jump on the giant trampoline or try their strength on the rock climbing wall! The rock climbing is every day from 1-3pm but again just confirm with the kid’s club schedule each day. The kid’s club is open every day from 9am – 6pm and is free for kid’s aged 4-12 years.
Dining
If you consider yourself a bit of a foodie, then you will love it here at the Hilton. The food is such a high standard, with so many healthy options and cuisines available. My favourite part was the buffet breakfast – what a spread! I was so impressed with the healthy and variety of different options (I love some Asian food for breakfast) and there was even health powders like Spirulina, Wheatgrass etc to sprinkle onto your breakfast for an extra healthy boost!
We had dinner each night at Grain Restuarant, both nights offering a different style of buffet. The first night was a delicious steak night and the second night an Asian buffet. There was also an option for an A la carte menu which suited Alysse best, as we weren’t certain which foods at the buffet contained peanuts (She is anaphylactic).
For lunch we recommend enjoying a meal overlooking the water at the Shore Restaurant & Bar. They have a great family lunch deal which consists of a Pizza, Nasi Goreng, bowl of fries plus some drinks – the perfect amount for a family of four. The kid’s absolutely loved the Ice Cream and we would often come for a treat after dinner.
There are two bars around the pool areas for you to enjoy a drink or two in the afternoon – One near the kid’s pool and one near the big waterslide. At Happy Hour between 4-6pm they have two for 1 one cocktails / beers as well.
Spa & Wellness
Massages aren’t something I treat myself to very often, but when we are at a beautiful resort it would be rude not to right!? Alysse and I were lucky enough to enjoy a full body Balinese massage at Mandara Spa which was an hour of bliss! The outdoor treatment rooms were peaceful and the massage therapists so lovely and gentle. I defnitley recommend spoiling yourself with a treatment when you stay at the hotel.
The Hilton Bali has to be one of our favourite resort in all of Bali – and we have stayed in many! Everything is well maintained and at a high standard, the grounds are lush and green, and for families it really in unbeatable. We absolutely loved this hotel and will defnitley be back! I also have an amazing family package I am selling at the moment so please contact me if you are interested in bringing the family, I really cannot recommend it enough.
